Quote,paraphrase, and citation #5

"More than most periods of like duration, it is the direct consummation of the years immediately preceding. It differs from them as the harvest differs from the seed-time."
 
This quote is explaining how the contemporary is different from other periods before it. The world has grown tremendously during this period.
